MK Apparel Terms of Service
Personal Data
At MK Apparel, we take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information to provide the products and services you have requested from us. We will not sell your data or use it for any other purposes beyond fulfilling your order and communicating with you regarding services and resources we provide.
By providing us with your email address, you consent to receiving communication about our products, services, and updates. If you no longer wish to receive these communications, you can opt out at any time by replying to our emails or clicking the unsubscribe link provided. For more details, contact [email protected].
We use third-party partners such as YoPrint, Google Analytics, and ConvertCalculator to improve our services. For a full list of these partners, please email [email protected].
Turnaround Time
Our standard turnaround time is 15 business days from the time your order is finalized and approved. Turnaround time does not include shipping transit days. Additional services, such as tag printing or specialty inks, may extend this timeframe. Rush orders are subject to additional fees.
Rush Fees:
Rush (3-5 Business Days): Add 25% to shirt price.
Super Rush (2 Business Days): Add 50% to shirt price.
We are not liable for delays caused by weather, power outages, vendor shortages, or acts of God. Please notify us of any specific deadlines (“In-Hands Date”) when placing your order to ensure feasibility.
Payment Terms
Due in Full: Payment is required in full prior to production. No payment is needed until your invoice and digital mock-up are approved.
Net Terms: Only customers approved for net terms may use this option. Payment must be made by cash, check, money order, or bank transfer. Credit cards and PayPal are not accepted for net terms orders.
Finance Charges: Payments late by 5 days or more will incur 1.5% interest per month (18% annually) and a $30 late fee.
Late Payments: Payments not received on the day of delivery will incur a $45 late fee and 14% interest per month unless otherwise agreed. Accounts with past-due balances will be placed on hold until the balance is paid in full.
Online Store Orders
For online stores, we use Team Uniform Orders. “TeamUniformOrders.com” will appear on your bank statement. Any disputes will result in a $15 dispute charge and your order will be placed on hold. Orders will remain on hold until documentation is provided confirming that the dispute has been removed. If the dispute is not removed, the order will be cancelled and subject to the $15 dispute charge as well as a 25% cancellation fee. The $15 dispute charge will be waived if the dispute is removed. Please note that disputes may delay order processing.
Under/Over Run Allowance
Custom printing has a standard allowance of 5% under or over the ordered quantity. This applies to all orders. For contract orders, the allowance is calculated by the number of impressions rather than pieces. We recommend ordering extra garments to account for potential shortages.
Artwork Creation & Ownership
All artwork created by MK Apparel remains our property unless ownership rights are purchased separately. Artwork provided by you remains your property. MK Apparel will not reproduce customer-owned artwork without explicit consent.
Artwork Preparation
Art not supplied in a print-ready format as specified in our guidelines may be subject to preparation fees at our current rate. We will provide an estimate before beginning any preparation work. Any artwork preparation completed by MK Apparel is the property of MK Apparel. For example, if we create a separated art file for your order, the artwork itself remains your property, but the separated file is our property.
Artwork Approval
All artwork must be approved online. Upon receiving your initial mock-up, you are allowed one additional set of revisions free of charge. Further revisions will incur additional preparation fees. Changes to artwork after approval may delay your order’s production schedule. MK Apparel is not responsible for errors, misspellings, or inconsistencies in approved digital mock-ups. Please review your mock-ups carefully.
Colors on computer screens may differ from the actual printed colors. We use Pantone color matching to ensure the closest possible match, but slight variations can occur due to material or printing process differences.
Out of Stock Items
MK Apparel is not responsible for items that are out of stock. All product purchasing is done on an order-by-order basis. Should items become unavailable, we will attempt to find replacements and seek your approval before proceeding.
Manufacturer Defects
MK Apparel is not responsible for manufacturer defects such as garment color inconsistencies, mislabeled sizes, loose stitching, or other issues. We recommend ordering 5% extra of each size to account for potential defects.
Garment Subjectivity
MK Apparel will not be responsible if you are dissatisfied with the garment or printed artwork after production. We encourage you to review garment specs and order blank samples if needed.
Customer Supplied Garments
We work with customer-supplied garments on a case-by-case basis. Refunds for defective prints will cover only the printing costs, not the garment cost. A waiver is required for all customer-supplied garments.
Order Minimums
Our minimum order quantity for screen printing is 24 garments per image. Orders under 144 pieces are subject to a $27 setup fee per color per location. Repeat orders are subject to a $20 setup fee per color per location. Orders of 144 pieces or more will not incur setup fees. For embroidery, the minimum order is one piece, but additional fees may apply.
Image Sizes
All garments in an order will use the same image size unless otherwise requested. Requests for varying image sizes across garments will be treated as separate orders.
Seam, Collar, and Zipper Printing
Printing over seams, collars, and zippers may result in inconsistencies and distortions. These are considered acceptable and will not be deemed defective.
Image Placement
We strive for consistency in image placement but allow a 3/4” deviation. Requests for precise placement may encounter small variations.
Reorder Ink Color
Exact ink color matches on reorders are not guaranteed due to material and batch variations. We will match the original color as closely as possible.
Ink Color & Pantone Matching
We use Pantone color matching for precision but cannot guarantee exact matches due to material differences. Please confirm colors with a Pantone book.
Ink Color Change Minimums
Changes to ink colors during production incur a $15 fee per change per location.
Printed Sample Policy
Printed samples are not available.
In-Hands Date
If your order requires a specific deadline, notify us at the time of order placement. Rush fees may apply to meet expedited deadlines.
Split Shipping
Split shipping is available and will be billed at current rates. Submit an itemized list for quantities and addresses when placing your order.
Packaging
Orders are bulk-packaged and folded by the dozen unless otherwise requested.
Checking Your Order
Inspect your order upon receipt and notify us of any issues within 48 hours. Issues reported after this timeframe may not be resolved.
Custom vs. Contract Orders
Custom orders involve MK Apparel procuring blank garments. Contract orders use customer-supplied garments and may have different policies, including a 10% under-run allowance.
Contract Order Garments
Provide an itemized list of garments for contract orders. Orders shipped unsorted or mixed may incur sorting fees.
Blank Apparel Orders
We do not sell blank apparel in bulk. Single blank samples are available for purchase but are non-refundable.
Quotes & Estimates
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Final invoices will reflect the shipped quantity, not the quoted quantity.
Returned Checks
Returned checks incur a $30 fee. Subsequent payments must be made via cash or cashier’s check.
Shipping
We ship via UPS and FedEx. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in production timelines. MK Apparel is not liable for shipping delays or errors once an order leaves our facility. Tracking information will be provided after shipment.
Social Sharing
MK Apparel reserves the right to showcase finished products on social media platforms unless explicitly requested otherwise. Notify us in advance if you do not wish for your products to be shared.
Cancellations
Cancellations are subject to fees:
Before garment order: 10% of total order.
After garment order: 15% plus return shipping costs.
After garment receipt but before printing: 25% of total order.
Cancellations are not accepted after production begins.
Guarantee
If an error occurs that does not align with approved mock-ups, MK Apparel will reprint the order within 10 business days. Refunds are not offered.
Holidays
The following holidays are not considered production days:
- January 1, 2025: New Year’s Day
- May 26, 2025: Memorial Day
- July 4, 2025: Independence Day
- September 1, 2025: Labor Day
- November 27-28, 2025: Thanksgiving & Black Friday
- December 25-26, 2025: Christmas
- December 31, 2025: New Year’s Eve
